Flux-Cored Wire Offers Alternative to Stick Welding

Lincoln Electric has added four new gas-shielded, flux-cored wires to its UltraCore line to offer an alternative to stick welding. UltraCore Nickel 1 (Ni 1 A75-H) wire replaces stick electrodes and is designed for high-strength, low-alloy applications using a 75% argon/25% CO2 mix. The use of mixed shielding gas stabilizes arc characteristics, reduces spatter levels and washes out the weld bead for a flat appearance. Exhibiting robust impact properties, this wire also offers superior crack resistance due to low diffusible hydrogen levels, even with a notch offset of 2.5 mm from the weld centerline. The second new UltraCore Nickel 1 product (Ni 1 C-H) extends Lincoln's line of carbon steel UltraCore products. It is designed for high-strength, low-alloy applications requiring 100% CO2. UltraCore Nickel 2 (Ni2 A75-H and Ni2C-H) wires offer welders the same advantages as the other wires, with UltraCore Ni2 A75-H including a 75% argon/25% CO2 mix, while the Ni2 C-H is 100% CO2. These two wires are specifically designed for mining, offshore, bridge fabrication and high-strength fabrication applications. The UltraCore gas-shielded, flux-cored wire product line works for fillet, lap and butt welds on single and multi-pass welding applications. It provides superior arc characteristics and bead shape and allows for easy slag removal and exceptional puddle control for out-of-position welding. UltraCore wire is shipped in moisture resistant vacuum-sealed foil bags, offering additional protection from contamination.

avatar Hey whats up? I've been welding for over 30 years but the onlt flux core I've done is horiz and flat I need training can you help, also I have welded everything from 6011..6010 p5 to 7018 3/32 to 1/4 309L 8018 c3 and so many other certified tube 6010 root 8018 fill and cap,sch 80 6" aws plate asme plate, but for the life of me I have never ran overhead vert fluxcore, nor have I been trained for tig.Can you giude me to someone in my area that offers training for these two types of welding? If you can I would be happy as a pig in s*it.Thanks bob woodie.I dont have a lot of time to go to a college for an AA I think I know enough to brush up in a week or two. Thanks bob woodie aka flash woody
