Intelligent welding robots
Fanuc Robotics offers its ARC Mate 100iC intelligent welding robot
equipped with iRVistun. The six-axis robot features a compact design
and offers an integrated welding solution with operation efficiency,
speed, load capacity and enhanced performance for welding parts of
virtually all shapes and sizes, the company says.
The robot's internal routing allows the dress package to follow the
motion range of the robot, which is said to simplify programming and
eliminate bending, snagging or breaking cables.
The ARC Mate 100iC and R-30iA controller can be integrated into a
welding system that includes a weld torch cable, a wire feeder and a
welding power supply. The controller has the ability to control 40 axes
(four robots and other equipment).
The robot's design enhancements include a cantilevered forearm that
is inherently rigid, simplifying cable management and maintenance.
Other features include integrated wirefeed control cable with shielding
gas hose and welding power cables; a 10-kg payload that supports
traditional welding dress-out packages; a slimmer forearm to maximize
reach in confined areas; and floor, inverted and angled mounting
options.
Intelligent functions include iRVision, a ready-to-use robotic
vision package; Roboguide-WeldPro simulation package, which models the
robot dress out and downloads programs to the robot; and collision
guard. The robot also features ArcLink XT, an Ethernet-based welding
network.
