Friends, i am novice in welding field and would like to get answer of a basic questions.

1. What is difference between transformer type welding machine and Rectifier type welding machine. When either of them to be used and what are pros-cons for welding done with help of either of the machines.

hi, the traditional step transformer type plant has also got a rectifier, the other common type of machine is an stepless inverter which are generaly more expensive, thats for mig. if your considering tig or stick an inverter power source would be best bet.
